The Bastrop football team was rewarded for its winning season Thursday.
Three Bastrop football players were awarded honorable mention honors by the Associated Press.
Wide receiver Auston Shipley and defensive backs Bernard Blake and Pete Rodriguez were selected.
Shipley had touchdown catches in 10-of-11 games and had a total of 11 for the season. He gained 814 yards on 51 catches.
Blake had 49 tackles with three interceptions, one fumble recovery and a safety. The senior also had three blocked extra points.
Rodriguez had 61 tackles, six interceptions, a fumble recovery and a sack.
