Amanda Dee Nelson Beckham of Nacogdoches, and formerly of Bastrop, died Jan. 19, 2010. She was born Feb. 24, 1934 in Cushing to A.A. “Lex” Nelson and Edna Mae Birdwell Nelson.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Charles Beckham of Nacogdoches; son, Tim (Daphne) Beckham of Lufkin; daughters, Dottie Smith of Meeker, Okla., Vanessa Gustafson of Bastrop, and Kathy (Larry) Tull of Henderson, Tenn.; brother Van (Carolyn) Nelson of Appleby; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Interment was in White Rock Cemetery in Center.
