Nice to see more and more taxpayers waking to the latest ACC scam. If you folks would organize like was done in the 1990's, these turkeys wouldn't be trying to slip these taxing entities, abatements and incentives by you. ACC came into being without a tax and should return to its roots.
Following the rules has never been part of the political game in Bastrop. The game where the politicians and their corporate pals win and you lose. Unfortunately our elected and non elected public officials are working full time to separate you from your hard earned wages. What's worse is you and I are paying them to dream up these flim flam's. Beware of slogans like "For the Children," Economic Development" "Tax Incentives."
If the ACC scam comes before voters you can be sure the ballot will have some "funny" wording to confuse you. Just a fact of life in Bastrop. Will be nice when we can turn over those holding office at the County level. I am still steamed no one stepped up to the plate to knock of McDonald.
Oh, for a further "awakening" to the ACC deal, be sure and check out
