SMITHVILLE — The Smithville Lady Tigers had their first of two warm-ups before they begin their 17th straight trip to the girls basketball state playoffs.
Smithville defeated Bellville 67-36 Tuesday night in its regular season finale at Tiger Gym.
The Lady Tigers will get together with their Bastrop County rival Elgin, which is making its first playoff appearance in 18 years, Friday at Elgin Middle School for a warm up game. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
On Tuesday, Jaimie Kadlecek led the Lady Tigers like she has all season with 16 points.
