MANOR —  The Elgin boys basketball team is headed back to the playoffs for the fourth straight year.
Elgin defeated rival Manor 77-72 Tuesday night at Manor High School.
The win accompanied with a Lehman loss sent the Wildcats back to the playoffs. It’s Elgin’s sixth playoff appearance in seven years.
Ethan Lynch, who recently scored his 700th career point, had a team-high 20 points while Marquis Campbell added 19.
Elgin was up 42-24 at halftime and never trailed in the game.
Tyler Benson had 12 points and Bradley McDonald added 14 in the win.
The Wildcats will take on Brenham Tuesday in the first round of the boys basketball playoffs. The game is tentatively scheduled to be played in Giddings.
Elgin will enter the playoffs on a three-game winning streak since losing to Hays on Feb. 5.
The Wildcats finish the regulr season in fourth place in District 17-4A.
