Ferrell named 1st head coach at CCHS

Bastrop Independent School District Athletic Director Gerald Perry confirmed on Wednesday that El Paso Socorro’s Mike Ferrell will be the first head football coach at Cedar Creek High School.
The El Paso Times reported Wednesday morning that Ferrell has accepted the position.
Ferrell told the El Paso Times,”my family and I felt it was the best thing to do.”
Ferrell leaves Socorro after three seasons where he complied a 10-20 record.
Cedar Creek will begin competing on the junior varsity level in the fall and will begin playing varsity football in 2012.
