SHINER — The Cuero Gobblers defeated Bastrop 9-6 Monday night in Shiner thanks to an 8-run sixth inning. Bastrop was leading 6-1 going into the bottom of the sixth when Cuero’s bats woke up. Colton Tucker went 2 for 4 with 2 RBIs and a run scored. Justin Froncek also went 2-4 with an RBI.  Joey Muehr took the loss on the mound, giving up two runs, none of which were earned. Kegan Johnson, Jake Hernandez and Jake Dickey also got hits for the Bears (0-1).
