obit - Robert Tubb PhotoRobert E. Tubb, 88, of Cedar Creek, died Feb. 24, 2010. He was born Dec. 4, 1921 in Amory, Miss.
He was a veteran of World War II and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1967.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Benjamin F. Tubb, Sr. and Virginia Thornton Tubb; two brothers, Benjamin F. Tubb, Jr. and Hal Tubb; and two sisters, Mary McConatha and Carolyn Friday.
Survivors include wife of 63 years, Mary Louise Tubb; daughters, Kaye McDaniel of Cedar Creek and Pat (Frank) Gage of Leander; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and three sisters, Jean Coryea, June Hamner and Sue Coleman, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 N. Interstate 35, Pflugerville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 in the Memorial Chapel of the funeral home, with burial following at Cook-Walden/Memorial Hill Cemetery.

    I feel very lucky and thankful for the Tubb Family for letting me take care of Bob. He was a sweety. Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart Mary, Kaye, and Pat, like I said before, the priveledge was ALL mine.
