AUSTIN — The Bastrop Bears lost to Akins Friday night at Nelson Field in Austin 5-4, extending Bastrop’s losing streak to seven games.
The Bears had the bases loaded with one out in the top of the seventh inning and hit into a double play to end the game.
The Bears, now officially eliminated from playoff contention, will close its regular season at home Friday against Bowie.
