July is here and that means it’s time for Christmas in July.

The annual Christmas in July event is sponsored by the Bastrop Extension Education Association and the Bastrop County Extension office. Proceeds go toward 4-H scholarships and other educational programs.

This year’s event is Tuesday, July 21 from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. or from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Bastrop Community Senior Center, 1008 Water Street.

Identical information will be presented in both sessions.  This year’s program will include 12 demonstrations and instructions on gifts for family and friends, holiday decorating ideas and last-minute ideas. The registration fee is $5 per person, which includes patterns and instructions for all 12 items.  Door prizes will be given and refreshments will be served.

If you cannot attend the July 21 sessions in Bastrop, you may want to attend the Christmas in July sessions in San Marcos on July 19 at the Hays County Extension office, 1253 Civic Center Loop; and in Seguin on July 20 at the Silver Center, 510 E. Court Street.  The content, times and cost for the San Marcos and Seguin sessions will be identical to the Bastrop sessions. For more information, call the Bastrop extension office in at 581-7186.
