On behalf of the Family Crisis Center’s board, staff and the individuals assisted by the Center, we extend our sincerest appreciation to the community for embracing our thrift store, Bits & Pieces.

Bits & Pieces has been in existence for 18 years, serving as a vital resource for the Center and the entire community. Our most heartfelt thanks go out to everyone that has contributed as a donor, shopper or volunteer to the store’s notable success and we graciously ask for your continued support of this essential resource.

Bits & Pieces offers the community a low cost shopping opportunity, serves as a mechanism for recycling and works to revitalize the local community through aid to individuals in need in the form of store vouchers. Donors and shoppers of Bits & Pieces can take pride in the fact that through their patronage they are truly making a difference in their own community.

By taking the huge step of building our own thrift store facility four years ago, the Center was able to notably boost the store’s profit margin and increase the dollars generated to support Center services. This could not have come at a more critical time when governmental grant cuts would have otherwise resulted in program cutbacks and staff layoffs. Bits & Pieces is vital to the Center’s ability to provide a comprehensive support system for victims/survivors of domestic and sexual violence throughout our multi-county service area.

As the community continues to grow and the inevitable opportunities for competition increase, we graciously ask for your ongoing support of Bit & Pieces Thrift Store.   Please consider the above facts when making a choice to donate your slightly used items or when shopping for unique thrift store finds.

Bits & Pieces has come a long way, all of which has been made possible through the incredible support of this community. We also recognize that there is always room for improvement and we welcome your thoughts and feedback. Please note that effective Aug. 1, the store has new hours and is now open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Donations are always graciously accepted during hours of operation.
