The Bastrop County 4-H Program will sponsor its annual cake auction during homecoming in Bastrop on Saturday, Aug.7 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Bastrop.

4-H youth from all areas of Bastrop County, including Smithville, Elgin, Bastrop, Paige, McDade, Rockne, Hills Prairie and Red Rock, will be baking cakes to be auctioned at the annual fundraiser. All kinds of cakes will be in the auction, including Italian cream, chocolate, pineapple upside down, blueberry cheese cake, pound cake, lemon cake and more.

This is an excellent opportunity to show your support. Businesses or individuals may purchase entire cakes or they can go together as a group to purchase a cake.

All money raised goes back to the 4-H youth program to purchase ribbons, awards and fund leadership activities. To make a donation prior to the auction,  come by the extension office at 901 Pecan St. or mail to P. O. Box 650, Bastrop, TX., 78602.
