Gene Autry Evans, 70, died Aug. 1, 2010. He was born July 5, 1940 to Autry Lee and Bertha (Ainsworth) Evans in Corsicana. He was the owner/operator of the salvage yard up on Zapalac Road.

A memorial service is planned at Marrs-Jones Funeral Home in Smithville on Saturday, Aug. 7 at 2 p.m.
