Wilfred “Fritz” Wilhelm, 82, of Rockne, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010. He was born May 10, 1928.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his honorable discharge he returned home where he worked as a carpenter, farmer and rancher in the Rockne area.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andy and Annie Goertz Wilhelm, sisters, Emma Boer and Dora Friske and brothers, Emil Wilhelm, Adolph Wilhelm, Herman Wilhelm, Alvin “Red” Wilhelm and Clarence Wilhelm.

Survivors include brothers, Robert Wilhelm of San Antonio and Wilbert “Bill” Wilhelm of Rockne.

The Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne on Aug. 20. He is buried in the Sacred Heart cemetery.
