Raymond York, 65, of Bastrop, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2010. He was born Nov. 9, 1944 in Morton and married his wife Ruby in 1965.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby Fenwick York of Bastrop, sons, Keith (Kim) York of Red Rock, Ronnie (Darla) York of Ardmore, Okla. and Justin (Sandra) York of Mansville, Okla.; daughter, Renea (Martin) Perez of Bastrop; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Dorene Rector of Morton; and brothers, Earl York of Morton and Clayton York of Popularville, Miss.

York worked at WalMart in Bastrop for the past 10 years.

Visitation is Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 4-8 p.m. at Marrs Jones Newby Funeral Home Chapel. Graveside Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. at Bateman Cemetery on Hwy. 20 near Red Rock.
