Bastrop quarterback Josiah Monroe had 417 yards of offense, including 325 through the air while scoring six touchdowns in Bastrop’s  51-21 thrashing of Seguin last week. Monroe has eight touchdowns and no interceptions in two games.

Smithville running back Jacorey Lincoln (30) ran for a season-high 199 yards and scored two touchdowns, all part of the Tigers’ 21 point comeback Friday night against Wharton. Wharton still won 42-41, but Lincoln’s performance in the fourth quarter gave Smithville the drive to fight back.
