The Bastrop Independent School District announced Wednesday that Del Valle defensive coordinator Dan Hernandez was named the head football coach and athletic coordinator at Cedar Creek.

The Connally Cougars did some things better than the Bastrop boys soccer team when the two teams met Friday night on the Bastrop soccer field. None of them led to Connally’s goal, the only one in the Cougars’ 1-0 victory.
