The City of Bastrop will be giving away free five gallon trees to City of Bastrop residents and those in the county who have been affected by the wildfire on Saturday, Feb. 11 beginning at 9 a.m. at the City of Bastrop Public Works Facility parking lot, 1209 Linden St.

The Bastrop County Audubon Society will attend the regular meeting of the Friends of the Lost Pines State Parks this evening, Jan. 19 and will present $3,000 to the Friends for restoration of Bastrop State Park project.
