The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth District, will conduct a public meeting to provide details of the upcoming Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study (RI/FS) of the Camp Swift Range Complex, a formerly used defense site located in Bastrop County.

According to county extension agent Rachel Bauer, the recently passed Texas House Bill 268 requires that Texans claiming sales tax exemptions on items used for the production of agricultural and timber products must provide a new registration number, beginning Jan. 1, 2012, issued by the comptroller on an exemption certificate issued to the seller.
