Charles Francis Weaver of Bastrop died Jan. 28, 2012.
Charles was born May 25, 1920 in Houston to Charles Messenger Weaver and Josephine Flowers Weaver.
He is survived by this wife, Betty Weaver, five children, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and one sister.
Rosary and visitation are Friday, Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel, 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m.. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Ascension Catholic Church in Bastrop. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Annie Belle McMarion, of Bastrop, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012 at the age of 89. Funeral services are pending with Pendergrass-People’s Mortuary in Smithville.

Martha Jean Napper, age 60, of Smithville, died Jan. 22, 2012. She was born Aug. 10, 1951 in Uvalde to Gene J. and Jean (Doughtery) Milam.

She retired from the University of Texas as an accountant.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Miller; a son and daughter-in-law, Jeffery and Sarah Napper; and two granddaughters.

No services are planned at this time. Arrangements by Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.

Robert Ray Barnes

Robert Ray Barnes, age 66, of Austin, passed away Jan. 17, 2012. Robert was born Oct. 18, 1945 in Taylor to Gussie Barnes and Verda Mae Williams. Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife Angelina Barnes of Bastrop; his children Robert Barnes, Jr., Ron Barnes and Roy Woods, all of whom are from Austin, Timothy Woods of Beaumont, Minister Allen Woods of Washington state and a daughter, Tasha Woods of Austin.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 25th at Providence District Association Tabernacle at 11:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Alfred Billy Spakes, Sr.
Alfred Billy Spakes, Sr. (Bill) passed away on December 21, 2011.
Bill was born May 25, 1920 to Walter and Catherine Spakes in Thornton, Texas. Bill and his family moved to Amarillo, Waco and Austin for his work in the newspaper industry. Before retiring from the Austin American-Statesman after twenty years, Bill also worked for the Amarillo Globe News and the Waco newspaper. After retiring from the Statesman, Bill worked for MD Anderson of Bastrop for seven years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 68 years, Letha Magdalene Sterling Spakes. He is also survived by six children: Alfred ‘Bill’ Spakes, Jr.; Jimmy Spakes, Sr. and wife, Jane; Rex Spakes; Larry Spakes; Jackie Burgh and husband, Jeff; and Sandy Humphreys. Grandchildren include: Alfred ‘Bill’ Spakes III; Tanya Walton; Jimmy Spakes, Jr.; Jon Spakes; Amanda Blissett; Ashley Spakes; Misty Spakes; Brandon Stacks; Lee-Anne Spakes; Hannah Spakes; Jacob Spakes; Maura Gibson; Brandi Duncan; Chris Humphreys and Ashton Humphreys. Bill also has 20 greatgrandchildren.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Linda Scheumack and 4 grandchildren: Dena Scheumack, Natalie Scheumack, Darlynn Scheumack and Nathaniel ‘Colt’ Scheumack.
The family would like to thank Bill’s caregivers from the past months: Sue Bowen from the Generations unit; Erika Clemons; Maria Santa-Maria; and especially Rosa Hernandez and Yvonne Rodriguez for making us all comfortable at the end and Suzanne Breit-Perez for her continued nursing care and support.
Funeral arrangements will be held at 10:00 a.m. on 12/24/2011 at Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop.

Steven Brian Bille, age 42, of Bastrop, passed away Jan. 5, 2012. Steven was born Oct. 2, 1969 in Round Rock, Texas to Fredrick and Emma Bille. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Bille and his grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Emma Bille; wife, Katherine Bille; sons, Kaiden Bille-Dow and J.J. Cuellar; daughters, Leah Williams, Kayla Chavez, Tamara Conforti, and Sarah Bille and 5 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home with interment following at Oak Hill Cemetery near McDade.

Milton A. Goertz, 83, of Bastrop passed away Jan. 8, 2012. Milton was born Jan. 5, 1929 in Rockne to Philip and Rosa Goertz. He is survived by his wife, Marian Goertz; sons, David Goertz and wife Deanna, Randy Goertz and wife Donna, Randy Rolfsness and wife Debbie, and Roger Rolfsness and wife Angie; brother, Maurice Goertz; sister, Nelda Thompson and 7 grandchildren. Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan.13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Rockne. Celebration of Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, also at the church with interment following at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Esther Angelina Dudley, 72, of Bastrop, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. She was born May 26, 1939 in New York City to Josephine Pedersen and Augustine Titone. They preceded her in death.

She is survived by husband, Vincent “Sonny” Dudley; children Vinny Dudley (Jan), Glenn Dudley (Michele) and Danny Dudley (Madge), all of Bastrop, Wayne Dudley of Round Rock and Arleen Joyce (Chris) of Austin; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Emma M. Fiebrich

Emma M. Fiebrich, 96, of String Prairie, 96, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011. She was born in String Prairie on Dec.10, 1915 to Theresia and Joseph J. Ott.

She was the youngest of five girls. Her sisters included Martha Segel, Annie Bartoskewitz, Hattie Grohman, and Ella Ott. She married Johnnie Fiebrich on Jan. 7, 1936. He preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1992.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty, and son-in-law, J. C. Rabel of Rosanky. She also had two granddaughters and two great-granddaughters.

Services were Wednesday, Dec. 21 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in String Prairie with burial following at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
